Title I

Compassion, Service, Responsibility....We are AFS!

What is Title I?

Title I is a federally funded program that ensures that all students have a fair and equitable opportunity to receive a high-quality education and to attain the minimally set proficiency levels of Tier I academic standards on all relevant state academic assessments. The goal of the program is to provide supplemental funds school districts to assist schools with the high student populations of poverty to meet basic school educational goals.

Many of our Title I programs focus on improving academic achievement through a multi-tiered approach of academics, environment, and community (with a focus on family engagement).

School-Parent Compact Information

The school-parent compact is a written agreement between the school and the parents of children participating in Title I, Part A programs that identifies the activities that the parents, the entire school staff, and the students will undertake to share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement.
