Mr. Stanley Jones, Principal
Mr. Jones has most recently served as Executive Assistant Principal at Peabody Magnet High School. With 30 years of dedicated service in education, all within Rapides Parish, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to student success and educational excellence throughout his career.
His extensive experience in school administration and knowledge of our district make him ideally positioned to lead Arthur F. Smith Middle Magnet into its next chapter.
When asked about his new role, Mr. Jones shared his enthusiasm for "leading, guiding and working with a new faculty, students and parents."

Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,
It is with great excitement and heartfelt commitment that I introduce myself as the new principal of Arthur F. Smith Middle School. I am honored to develop a school community with a strong tradition of academic achievement and a deep dedication to student success.
As we embark on this new chapter together, my vision is clear: to ensure every student at Arthur F. Smith receives a high-quality education that challenges, inspires, and prepares them for a future of endless possibilities. My mission is rooted in three core values: academic achievement, community collaboration, and continuous growth.
We will maintain high academic expectations for all learners and provide the support needed to meet and exceed those expectations. I believe that when students are held to high standards and supported with compassion and consistency, they rise to the occasion.
Equally important is our partnership with families and the broader community. Your voice matters. Together, we will build strong bridges between home and school and create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and heard. I look forward to welcoming you into our school and establishing meaningful opportunities for parental and community involvement throughout the year.
Finally, the growth of our students, our staff, and our school as a whole will be at the forefront of everything we do. Through innovation, reflection, and collaboration, we will continue to improve and ensure that Arthur F. Smith remains a place where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
